Student Council is a student body group where classroom representatives are elected by their peers to share student ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and school principals. The students help raise funds for school-wide activities, including social events, community projects, helping people in need, and school reform.
St. Patrick School Student Council participates in an annual hat, coat, and glove drive, a canned food drive, and a baby item drive where we donate numerous items to families in need. Our students have raised money for numerous charities such as Michigan Animal Rescue League and the American Cancer Association. The representatives also assist with our monthly bagel day.
Becoming a member of Student Council enables the students to take responsibility for managing and completing projects. It fosters leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills which are beneficial to the student's success as a productive member of society.
